Live screening of play “Young Marx” at Campus West.

EMAILED EVENTS
If you join Pilot Club, extra events will be emailed to you each month, after the main printed programme has been posted out.
In October extra late additions to our programme were the films “Bladerunner 2049” and “The Party”. Also added were a lecture at Uni of Herts, a plant swap and ploughman’s lunch at a member’s home, and a dancing evening.

Trip (by train from St Albans) to The Wellcome Collection in London, to see “Can graphic design save your life?” and “Why music? the key to memory”.
Trip to Peterborough (by train from Hatfield) to visit the Cathedral and Museum/Art Gallery

WALK
Circular walk of about 4 miles from “The Three Blackbirds” in Flamstead, followed by drinks or lunch

QUIZZES
Weekly quiz at “The Speckled Hen”, Hatfield Rd, St Albans

COMING UP IN NOVEMBER
Fireworks at Verulamium, St Albans, followed by social with food at a member’s house in St Albans.

COMING UP IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY
There will be a Christmas Lunch in December, and a Dinner Dance in January.

LATE EVENTS FOR THE OCTOBER PROGRAMME
Sometimes extra events for the Pilot Club programme are sent in by members after the printed programme has gone to print, and these are emailed to members who are on email.
Late events quite often include films.

If you would like to join Pilot Club members for any of these events, or if you would like to put an event of your own into the Pilot programme, please contact the New Members’ Co-ordinator, using the box on the main page of this website.
Please give your phone number, address and email address.
One month’s programme (giving details of times and dates of club events and how to book in for each event) will be posted to you.
Another two programmes will be emailed to you.
You can attend 3 events over 3 months before joining the club.

QUIZZES
Pilot Club members join the regular Monday night quiz at a pub on Hatfield Rd, St Albans

AFTERNOON VISIT
Tea at a member’s home/garden, followed by walk to the Celebration Garden at Ayletts Nursery, St Albans

DAYS OUT
Trip to Bedford for guided walk about houses and their history, plus a visit to exhibitions on Victorian Art, Edward Bawden, and Shorts Brothers’ Airships at Higgins Museum. Travel by train from St Albans.

Trip to Broadstairs for Open Studios, sandy beaches, ice-cream parlours, bandstand etc. Travel by train from St Albans or meet for train from St Pancras .

CINEMA
“An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power” at Garden City Cinema, Campus West, Welwyn Garden City.

LATE EVENTS
